Mid-Summer Professional Development Seminar and Career Fair

Program Synopsis

The Mid-Summer Professional Development Seminar is designed to help CLEO/Thurgood Marshall Fellows and Associates with career planning and development. The seminar provides a wide range of professional development workshops and career enhancement opportunities.

The seminar addresses such topics as: How to conduct a job search, working in different practice areas, job interviewing skills, financial management, etc. The seminar also provides information on summer internships, clerkships and other job-related opportunities.

A Career Fair is also held in conjunction with the seminar, with attracts law firms, corporations, government agencies, public interest organizations and various other Employers from around the country.

Strong emphasis is also placed on the importance of serving low-income and under-represented communities and maintaining academic excellence.
