The Council on Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO) and CLEO diverCITY Network (CDN) respects the implicit level of trust that exists between it and its visitors to this site. We consider the personal information given to us by site visitors as privileged, and consistently make every possible effort to safeguard that information in strict confidence. Additionally, it is important to point out that the information that is automatically tracked while persons visit this site will not be sold to third party vendors for miscellaneous marketing purposes (spam promotional offers, junk mail, etc.). The information below outlines our site visitor privacy doctrine in greater detail.

Collection and Use of “Sensitive” (Personal) Information

CLEO collects and utilizes any “sensitive” information (SSNs, address info, etc.) provided to us by visitors of our site for the express purpose of association verification and reconciliation. We consider the “sensitive” information given to us to be privileged and do our absolute best to keep personal information secure. As a rule, we never turn over alumni, student and/or organizational friend contact information to anyone outside of the American Bar Association.

Collection and Use of “Non-Sensitive” (Non-Personal) Information

If a visitor does nothing during his or her visit, but browse, read pages or download/upload information, our site will automatically record the following information about their visit for internal statistical tracking purposes only:

• The Internet domain of the Internet Service Provider (ISP) being used while visiting
• The type of web browser that is being used while visiting
• The type of operating system that is being used while visiting
• The date and time of the visit and the specific pages that were visited
• Also, if a visitor links to our site from another URL, the web address of that site will be recorded

All captured information is used by our web hosting team to help us diagnose technical problems as well as to help us track the overall effectiveness/appeal of our site content.
